Lebanese Ihsan lands in Cairo and seeks refuge with his Egyptian friend Marzouq. Together they work in a nightclub. Masoud Bey asks them to perform at his daughter Samiha’s birthday party. The party turns into a funeral due to the news of Masoud’s brother’s death. His niece, Mabrouka, arrives from the countryside, and because she is his brother’s sole heir, he seeks to kill her. Ihsan’s heart is drawn to Mabrouka and he proposes marriage to her. Meanwhile, Masoud plots to kill Mabrouka in revenge for being deprived of his brother Ibrahim’s inheritance.
